01Final list

The leading AIs each built their own list of ten independently. Here is one result that is easy to check: every place has a reason, a source, and the list of AIs that included it.

Order: from most to least AI agreement.

A bright badge means this AI put the entry on its list. A dim badge means it did not.

What the AIs noticed while building the list.

Track records are still too short to trust. The Council's Brier score is 0.249 against 0.250 for a coin flip, and none of the 59 tested model pairs shows a statistically real accuracy gap. Published daily hit rates run from Z.ai's 61% to Kimi's 41%.

03Questions people ask

Which AI is best for stock market predictions?

None has proven it yet. On the AI Council, Z.ai leads daily hit rates at 61% on 33 calls, but after five sessions no model pair differs significantly, and in Alpha Arena the winner changed from Qwen (crypto) to Grok (US stocks).

Source ↗
Can AI predict the stock market?

Not reliably so far. The Council's consensus Brier score is 0.249, barely better than a coin flip's 0.250, although it called 8 of 12 markets correctly on Oct 23.

Can AI beat the stock market?

Only over short stretches. ERNIE gained 1.76% in the Council's first week while the S&P 500 fell 1.09%, but AI teams in Digital Quant 2026 lost 378,000 USDT combined.

Source ↗
How accurate are AI stock market predictions?

About as accurate as a coin flip to slightly better. AI Council daily hit rates range from 41% to 61%, and live accuracy in published studies is typically mid-50s to high-60s percent, below what backtests promise.

In plain words, no formulas.

1The question

Top 10 Markets Where the AIs Disagree Most Today, and Which AIs Have Been Right Before

It ranks the panel's splits by each AI's past accuracy and checks them against outside AI-trading contests and market odds, so the reader sees where disagreement means real doubt and where it only reflects differences between models.

6How the places were set

The same entry written differently by different AIs was counted as one. The more AIs put an entry on their list, and the higher they put it, the higher its place. What Claude noticed

In Alpha Arena Season 1, Qwen3 Max (+22.3%) and DeepSeek were the only profitable models. All four US models lost money, and GPT-5 lost more than 62%. That is why a Chinese AI's record can deserve more weight than its US rivals' in crypto.

In Season 1.5 (US stocks) the order flipped: an undisclosed "Mystery Model", later identified as Grok 4.20, won with about +12%. A record in one asset class does not carry over to another.

A March 2026 CNMV working paper finds LLMs can beat the market when guided and supervised by humans, but it also found recurring reasoning failures and unstable performance.

Digital Quant 2026 ran AI agents with real money for over 60 days on equities, commodities, metals and crypto, and judged them on drawdown and consistency as well as profit.

The apparent ten-model panel contains much less independent information than ten independent forecasters: the Council estimates an average of only 1.92 effective voices from probability correlations across its first five sessions.

A higher portfolio return is not the same as more accurate forecasts. ERNIE led the five-session money league at +1.76%, yet its published overall daily directional accuracy was only 27% on 11 calls.

The Council correctly called 8 of 12 markets on October 23, but its five-session Brier score was 0.249, barely better than the 0.250 benchmark of an uninformative 50% probability forecast.

The league reports that no model pair has yet demonstrated a statistically distinguishable accuracy difference: zero of 59 tested pairs had a session-level confidence interval excluding zero.

Backtests flatter every AI: models reach ~73% accuracy in backtesting over 2020–2025, but live directional accuracy sits in the mid-50s to high-60s — a real edge, not foresight; overfitting is the most common live failure mode.

CME FedWatch — the panel's outside check for the #2 market — is a probability distribution paid for by futures traders, not a forecast: the Dec 9 meeting alone prices three different outcomes (67.6% hold, 24.9% cut, 7.5% hike), which is exactly the 26 bp gap the US and Chinese camps are fighting over.

In Digital Quant 2026, 30 teams trading $8 million USDT in real capital posted aggregate losses of $378,000, proving that live markets grind down most AI strategies through friction and volatility.

The 'effective voices' metric on the AI Council averages around 1.5 to 2.0, meaning the 10 AIs are highly correlated in their news sources rather than thinking independently.

Despite the hype, AI portfolios on the council are barely beating the S&P 500 ($99,074 vs $98,906) after just five sessions, showing how hard it is to generate consistent alpha.
